Ovsanna is an Armenian writer-director, born and raised in Yerevan. Her first feature film project, "My Heart Is Like Those Ruined Houses," was selected to be part of "Armenian-Turkish Cinema Platform" pitching lab. The same feature project was a semi-finalist for the Sundance 2018 January Screenwriters Lab and Sundance 2019 Development track. Ovsanna's short film "You Can't go home again" was screened at Lincoln Center as part of the "Armenian Film at Lincoln Center" series in November 2017. The same film was also a semi-finalist for San Mauro Film Festival in 2018. Her short film "Tale of the Anguished Gardener" was selected by "Creative Europe Film Pitching Forum" and had its Armenian premiere at Golden Apricot International Film Festival. The film premiered internationally at 27th Raindance Film Festival in London. Ovsanna's most recent short films "A Cloud In Trousers" and "Orphanhood" are currently in post-production.
